WORK 01

Garden Wonderland

Part of my personal quilt collection, this quilt was inspired by the vibrant flora and fauna of my sister’s garden. While I never inherited the proverbial ‘green thumb’, I can still appreciate all that nature has to offer. As the native flora and fauna in my area often inspire my creative work, especially the colour pallets for my sewing projects.

WORK 02

B is for Bird

Beautiful and enigmatic –  birds with their vibrant colours and mesmersing feathers spark so much joy and inspiration. Measuring 85″ x 100″, this custom made quilt was inspired by the beauty of birds. Blending vibrant greens, blues and yellow tones this quilt highlights the enigmatic nature of birds.

WORK 04

An Autumn Afternoon

Normally I like to challenge my quilting skills and techniques by picking an intricate design. But it was back to basics! With this quilt I really wanted to highlight the cute fall inspired fabrics that I spent over a year collecting, and this checkerboard print was the perfect solution.  Inspired by the changing beauty of nature, my Autumn inspired colour palette is all about warm amber, marigold, butterscotch and auburn tones. This quilt measures 70″ x 90″.

Ageless Floristry

A beautiful blend of 1930’s reproduction floral fabrics, and vibrant modern prints were used to create this vintage inspired lap quilt. A throwback to the designs of the Great Depression era, a period of history marked by great hardship and most notably resourcefulness. Featured as part of my Vintage Inspired Quilt series, this lap quilt evokes a sense of nostalgia connecting us to our past and reminding us of the lives and stories of those who became before us.
